Denny Branca joins ElectroTech with over 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry. Denny will serve as ElectroTech’s VP of the MN Utility Division.

Prior to joining ElectroTech, Denny held a number of technical and leadership positions during his 23 years at Northern States Power Company/Xcel Energy: Substation Maintenance, Substation Engineering & Design, Transmission Operations, Distribution Emergency Response and Distribution Control Center Operations. He then joined Cannon Technologies/Cooper Power Systems/Eaton Electrical and led the Technical Services organization within the Energy Automation Solutions business unit during his 12 years there.

Denny is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and the University of St. Thomas with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He holds Professional Engineering’s licensure in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. He serves on the University of Minnesota’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department’s Industry Advisory Council. He has been active in many electric industry committees and standards groups. Denny and his wife, Emilie, live in Plymouth, MN and have three daughters.
